Our Vision
Vision and Mission
All evangelical or Bible-believing churches really share the same vision and mission. Summed up in “The Great Commission” found in Matthew 28:18-20 “As you go make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.” So that’s our vision and mission!
How each church works that out is different depending on geography, culture, community, and the gifts and talents of those making up the church. For us in Redeemer Saltash we really want our church to feel like family, to be home.
So we structure church to be like that, our main venue is groups of seats around tables, we don’t have pews. Coffee and tea are on tap, so you can grab a drink whenever you want. Our worship is lively with modern worship songs sitting alongside classic hymns, and some brilliant guitar riffs. We are really aware that for some people the idea of coming to church is daunting, a room of strangers who all seem to know what to do and when to do it. If you’re anxious about coming along, we’d love to help make that journey easier so do get in touch, and we’ll see what we can do to help.
We have got a couple of pictures that have helped shape the how and what of our church.
The Fleet; as Saltash looks across to HMNB Devonport, we love the Navy metaphor. As a church we are a ship in a fleet, alongside Plymouth and Tavistock, and in coming days Ivybridge and Barne Barton – we share in the mission of strengthening and planting churches in Devon and Cornwall.
Saltash; the Gateway to Cornwall – across the town are signs welcoming drivers through the Gateway to Cornwall. As a church we were planted out of Plymouth in 2021, we believe God has called us to plant more churches on into our beautiful county. So we as grow, we’ll be looking to get new churches started across the region.
